What’s the difference between shampoo and body wash/soap?

besides the fact that one is for hair and ones for your body. but it seems to me that they have the same purpose, to clean and hydrate/moisturize, so why do we have two different products for the same thing?

The only real difference unless you get those special shampoos to do thinks like make your hair shiny or curly.

My hair groups that use to wash their hair regime its very clean and shampoos are the rest of dirt or grease that use shampoo to call it wasnt actually til recently when their is something.
