I want to reuse my body wash/shampoo/conditioner containers as pots for plants - is anyone aware of any methods of cleaning that will get rid of all traces of the chemicals etc so that my plants have the best start possible? Thanks!

    Water !
Your plants will not suffer if traces of chemicals remain after a thorough washing.

Once the containers have been washed in hot water and soap your plants won’t be affected. I use yogurt tubs and small cups for pot plants, easier to get to and the plants get more water coverage than using taller shampoo bottles.
